"I have been studying French with AFCDN for two years. I really look forward to our Tuesday night class - it's a real highlight in my week! This is easily the most enjoyable and rewarding experience that I have had learning another language. The classes are small and can meet the needs of each student, and relaxed - each of us feels very comfortable 'testing out' our new language skills.
Our teacher is wonderful - fun, dynamic and able to use her extensive teaching experience, and French upbringing, to deepen our understanding of the French language and culture. I consider myself very lucky to have found a great teacher and class."
"I have really enjoyed the French classes and, despite a hectic personal and professional schedule, look forward to continuing with them in the future. Great 'brain food' and fun!
The teacher provides a highly supportive and well humoured environment with the right amount of challenge for me to engage with the complexities of learning French.
She brings to the teaching of French significant knowledge and understanding of how language is constructed, French and English, and how this is applied in both written and conversational ways.
In my recent travels to Paris I was thrilled to bravely try my new French language skills. It was challenging. However the rewards were in communicating with people in a more natural and friendly way making me feel a part of rather than merely a tourist in that most beautiful city."
"I was thrilled to discover Alliance Française was active in Lismore, and offered French language classes for all levels. Having a life long appreciation of France and French culture, I was keen to take up the challenge, so joined the beginners class this year. Our teacher, who is French, is vivacious and accommodates all levels of ability. The ages of the students in the class range from 20 to 60 years. All in all, it has proven to be a very enjoyable experience. I am flying off to New Caledonia next week and look forward to being able to use the French I have learnt during the lessons."
